This is an excellent guide and a must read for anyone that wants to have success in retail. The language is a bit dry, and some of the examples are dated, but the human interaction piece is fresh and relevant.
I am surprised that many things one sees a retail associate do and (if you work retail) trained to do, are considered by the author as ineffective and hackneyed in 1920! Yet, over ninety years later, the techniques the author suggests are still innovative.
If you are, or know someone in retail, I can't recommend this more highly.
